Rio Ferdinand has told Five he cannot believe how good Christian Eriksen has been for Manchester United this season.
Eriksen signed for Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer after his short-term deal with Brentford expired.
The Dane scored one goal and assisted another in Manchester United’s win over Brentford on Sunday.
He currently leads United for assists, with six for the season in total already.

Ferdinand explained he did not believe Eriksen would have the sizeable impact he has done already this season, expecting him to be more of a squad player.
He particularly praised his passing, which has set up goals in successive matches, commenting, “The weight of passes is unreal.”
The former defender added: “I did not expect him to be so influential, as much as a regular in this team as much as he has been.
“Given the history and well documented of what’s gone on with him, I just didn’t think that would be the case.
“I’m absolutely delighted the way Eriksen is being used and way he’s taking his time in this team and being one of the most prominent reliable players that we’ve got now.”
The 30-year-old has started 12 of 14 Premier League games for United this season and five of six Europa League matches.
He is now heading to the World Cup with Denmark, where he will face Raphael Varane’s France in the second group game.
Eriksen is one of United’s five permanent summer signings, all of who have made a big impression during the first part of the season. But on a free transfer, he represents the best value of all of them.
