Rio Ferdinand has lauded Bruno Fernandes for a piece of skill in Manchester United’s draw with Tottenham.
It was the most bittersweet of moments in a bittersweet game for Manchester United.
At 2-1 up, Bruno Fernandes rolled the ball through Clement Lenglet’s legs and skipped past him. Pause the moment there. The hard work was done, just the ‘keeper to beat.
Fernandes hit the ball past Fraser Forster… and saw the ball rebound off the crossbar.
Manchester United went on to concede another goal and could only draw the game 2-2. Fernandes’ missed shot changed the course of the game.

Rio focused on Bruno Fernandes skill
Former star Rio Ferdinand was in awe of the skill Bruno Fernandes used to create the chance in the first place.
Speaking to BT Sport he said the moment would ‘do numbers’ on social media, raving about it.
He said: “That skill is too much! Oh, we were screaming in here.
“That’s out of order what he just has done there.”
It wasn’t all bad for Fernandes or United. He provided an assist for Marcus Rashford’s goal, his 15th assist of the season.
He fought through the pain to return from injury and had he scored this goal, it would have been a contender for the club’s goal of the season.
It was not to be, like United’s night. 2-0 up at half-time, 2-2 was a disappointing result. Fernandes’ skill ultimately counted for nothing, save for the ‘numbers’ it might do in social media clips.
