Manchester United’s Richard Arnold has given an update on the Mason Greenwood situation and the huge cloud over the club with the takeover still yet to be resolved.
According to Adam Crafton of The Athletic, Arnold held a meeting with some pre-submitted questions and the situation around Greenwood’s future was a hot topic amongst staff members.
When asked by the staff, Arnold reportedly said, on the prospect of Greenwood rejoining United: “There’s no expectation of Mason playing for Manchester United.”
The English forward has been loaned out to La Liga side Getafe after the club performed a U-turn on their decision to reintegrate Greenwood into the United first team.

Takeover update
As well as this, there is also an update on the takeover of the club, with the Glazer family still not deciding on what their next move will be.
As the takeover situation approaches its year anniversary, staff members, who submitted questions anonymously so they could pose more searching queries about the club, are becoming more irate and somebody reportedly did ask about the takeover situation.
Arnold answered the question by telling staff that the strategic review process is ongoing.
He acknowledged the process has felt like a long time and he said that certainty would be helpful.
Will the takeover ever be resolved
It does seem a long time ago when the club announced its strategic review of the club and that uncertainty is seemingly affecting staff around the club, perhaps unsurprisingly.
Arnold, speaking on behalf of the Glazer family, seemingly couldn’t confirm if the club are seeking majority or minority investment.
However, there was an interesting comment from Arnold that may get fans excited when he was asked about why the situation was taking so long.
“Where there are big numbers involved, that always takes a bit of time to work through to get the right arrangements in place and to get everything done,” Arnold reportedly told club staff, perhaps a resolution may well be in sight.
