Manchester United’s hopes of signing Ajax winger Antony have been given a boost after comments from the player.
Last week 90Min reported Antony has emerged as a summer transfer target for United. The Red Devils also have a potential advantage due to hopes Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag will become the next boss.
Now the winger has offered potential encouragement over a potential switch by expressing interest in a move to England.

Quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Antony said: “Ajax is the place where I feel happy, but of course I do think about a move in the future sometimes. Premier League and La Liga are the leagues I find beautiful.
“When the time is right, I hope to play there.”
United are one of several clubs keen
When a player of Antony’s calibre becomes available, clubs sit up and take notice. Manchester United are just one of the interested clubs.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also reportedly interested. The the latter’s case, a recent move for Luis Diaz may take them out of the running.
Bringing in Erik Ten Hag will give United an advantage over any club involved, even if the Red Devils miss out on Champions League football for next season.
Antony has scored 11 goals this season and also provided nine assists, lighting up Ajax’s right wing. With Jadon Sancho on the left, United could have a formidable duo on the wings next season.
It’s early to get too ahead for next summer, and there are more pressing issues than signing a winger, with midfield and striker as positions still requiring reinforcements.

A bidding war for Antony could force United’s hand, and Ten Hag deciding to leave will prompt players to re-evaluate their futures.
This might be a rumour which dies down by May, or it could intensify. If the latter, then Antony’s interest in a move to the Premier League may turn out to be a crucial factor.
