Manchester United trio were the reason Jadon Sancho was dropped for Arsenal clash

Jadon Sancho has been urged by his close teammates at Old Trafford to apologise to Erik ten Hag and reintegrate himself into the Manchester United first team.

Erik ten Hag decided to leave out Jadon Sancho for Manchester United’s trip to Arsenal and the former Borussia Dortmund man reacted angrily to this.

Sancho hasn’t been involved since and we are approaching two months since the 23-year-old featured for United.

Interestingly, overnight, multiple reports surfaced seemingly from the United dressing room with players, who are close to Sancho, urging him to apologise for his actions.

Reason for Sancho being dropped emerges

According to a report from The Times, in the build to the trip to the Emirates Stadium, Dan Gore, Facundo Pellistri and Hannibal Mejbri had ‘busted a gut’ in training so, in Ten Hag’s eyes, the Dutchman had little choice, but to include the young trio, which meant Sancho was dropped.

The Manchester Evening News claims that the Red Devils will listen to offers to Sancho in January if he doesn’t apologise by then and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen, with their manager Edin Terzic keeping in constant contact with the forward.

The German side, however, are unwilling to pay anywhere near the price they received for Sancho or indeed the wages that the forward earns, which is around £300,000 according to The Times’ report.

Sancho’s future

It does seem like the players in the squad, who maybe had previously supported the Englishman when he refused to apologise, have now changed their tune and have urged him to end the feud with the former Ajax boss.

The winger is still training with the under-18s, with a resolution no closer to being found.

It’s hard to blame anyone else apart from Sancho in this scenario.

He hasn’t covered himself in glory and both reports claim that the Englishman has been late to first-team meetings in the past. As a result, it is hard to disagree with Ten Hag over the way he has treated the Englishman.
