Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is wanted by Borussia Dortmund but a loan offer has now been rejected.
That is according to a report from the Daily Star, who claim that Dortmund have made a ‘sneaky’ attempt to bring Sancho back to Germany.
However, United have immediately rejected the approach and have no plans to let Sancho leave on loan.
A permanent move would be United’s choice, even at £45million – some £28million shy of the £73million deal in 2021.
United paid big money in the hope that Sancho would shine in the Premier League.
The ex-Manchester City wide man racked up 50 goals and 64 assists in just 137 games for Dortmund.
That’s a staggering record and United pounced with a big-money move, believing that Sancho could replicate that form back in England.
So far, that hasn’t quite happened.
Sancho has managed just 12 goals and six assists in 79 games for United, and doesn’t look likely to be a first-choice player next season.

Manchester United face tricky Jadon Sancho decision
Sancho had a difficult campaign last season, both on and off the pitch, and maybe he deserves another campaign to get back to his best.
There is a real risk of Sancho’s value diminishing if he struggles again though, to the point where United wouldn’t even make half of their money back.
United have seen Anthony Martial’s value plummet over the years and Sancho could go down a similar path.

£45million would be welcomed this summer given that Erik ten Hag wants to land a new goalkeeper, new striker, a new midfielder in Mason Mount and possibly another centre back.
United have options out wide too, making Sancho a real candidate for the exit this summer.
Dortmund paying £45millions seems unlikely though, even after selling Jude Bellingham, and United may need to rely on a Premier League club taking a chance on Sancho if they do want to let him go.
