A former Manchester United star reacted to Rasmus Hojlund’s impact against Leicester City in the 3-0 Premier League win at the King Power Stadium.
Ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Leicester City, Rasmus Hojlund had faced growing scrutiny over his goalscoring struggles at Old Trafford this season.
The 22-year-old Denmark striker went 21 matches without finding the back of the net before netting in the first half of United’s win over Leicester on Sunday.
Hojlund has scored three times in 24 matches in the Premier League and the United striker has found the back of the net five times in 10 Europa League matches.
Despite his goalscoring difficulties, Ruben Amorim has stuck with the Denmark international and Hojlund finally repaid that faith at the King Power Stadium.

Gordon Hill’s verdict on Rasmus Hojlund after Leicester City vs Man Utd
Former Manchester United and England player Gordon Hill took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, after the Leicester City match.
Gordon Hill admitted that he was thrilled to see Rasmus Hojlund finally find his shooting boots after the Danish forward scored for the first time in 2025.
“Nice to see the young man score after a lean period,” he said.
Hill had predicted ahead of United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City that he expected Ruben Amorim’s men to secure a comfortable result against the Foxes.
“This should be a comfortable result from what I am seeing [Leicester] are not really threatening,” he tweeted.
“United have themselves to blame if they do not wrap this one up.”
Posting on X at half-time, the 70-year-old former United winger pointed out that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men showed defensive vulnerabilities on Sunday evening.
“Halftime, let’s see them put more pressure on Leicester in the second half, there are goals for them to take, as I am seeing a lot of holes in the Leicester defence,” Hill posted.
Ruben Amorim’s telling reaction to Rasmus Hojlund breaking his Man Utd goalscoring drought
Speaking after United’s win at the King Power Stadium, United manager Ruben Amorim has insisted that Denmark striker Hojlund will “return with confidence.”
“It is a difficult goal, a difficult control [with] the right foot,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“So, it’s a shame we are going to stop for [the] national teams. But he will return with confidence.
“It’s [also] just one win away and we have to continue when we return.”
United are currently 13th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are three points clear of 14th-place Tottenham going into the March international break.
