Rasmus Hojlund has said that one Manchester United teammate has one of the best first touches in football.

Manchester United picked up a vital 1-0 win over Copenhagen to keep their knockout stage hopes alive for the Red Devils, much to Erik ten Hag’s relief.

Rasmus Hojlund was once again promising during the tight victory over the Danish side for which he made his debut at the age of 17.

A Harry Magure header from a superb cross from Christian Eriksen was enough for the points and it was the Danish midfielder who was the man that received the praise from the former Atalanta striker.

Hojlund on Eriksen

After the Danish forward was asked about the impact Eriksen made from the bench, it’s fair to say Hojlund is a big fan of the former Tottenham Hotspur striker.

“He’s a quality player and he has one of the best touches in football, ” the 20-year-old forward told the United Stand.

“His feet are incredible and I learn a lot from him every day about being professional and he is helping me develop every day.”

The pair look to be developing a good relationship and you wonder if the 31-year-old could bring the best out of the 20-year-old.

Eriksen key to unlocking Hojlund

The United midfielder has been perhaps a tad unfortunate to be on the bench and maybe should feel aggrieved that he didn’t start against the Danish side.

The beautiful cross from Eriksen on the right that found Maguire for the only goal of the game should be the sort of service Hojlund gets from his teammates but he just hasn’t had this type of service.

Perhaps Eriksen could start on the right, or Bruno Fernandes could move to the right to accommodate for the Dane who certainly deserves to start for the Red Devils.

Whether Eriksen will start in the Manchester derby remains to be seen but he is certainly making a good case to start for the Red Devils.
