Rasmus Hojlund has named his favourite Manchester derby memory ahead of Sunday’s massive clash against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The Manchester United forward remains goalless in the Premier League but the 20-year-old has certainly looked the part for the Red Devils.
Rasmus Hojlund was, once again, superb against FC Copenhagen and was perhaps unfortunate not to win a penalty for his side during a frantic and frenetic second half.
With Sunday’s Manchester Derby being at Old Trafford, the young forward, who joined the club from Atalanta in the summer for £64 million, is clearly excited about the prospect of facing the treble winners and has picked his favourite memory.

Hojlund’s favourite memory
Speaking in the mixed zone after the narrow win over Copenhagen in midweek, the Dane named Wayne Rooney’s bicycle kick as his favourite moment.
“The bicycle kick from Wayne Rooney, of course! Everybody remembers that, don’t they?” Hojlund marvelled. It’s hard to disagree with the 20-year-old forward as Wayne Rooney’s stunning goal won the game for the Red Devils, Hojlund would love to do similar.
The Danish forward has also admitted it would be a ‘nice feeling’ if his first goal in the Premier League were to be against Manchester City in the season’s first Manchester derby.
“It would be a big experience, so I am looking forward to it. It is always special to play a rival and if we win the game, we can get closer to the top, so it would be nice,” a rather calm Hojlund said.
Hojlund’s moment
Hojlund is likely to spearhead an attack which will feature Marcus Rashford and Antony, who has struggled recently, flanking him, with Bruno Fernandes behind him trying to create for the rapid youngster.
The young striker had his Champions League moment already with the superb solo goal against Galatasaray but that moment, which took the roof off Old Trafford, doesn’t feel as momentous due to the manner in which United collapsed in the 3-2 defeat.
If the Dane, who has been compared to Eriing Haaland, gets one over the Norwegian striker and Manchester City and helps United to victory, that would be all the more sweet for the 20-year-old.
