Rasmus Hojlund has labelled Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford as his two best-ever team-mates ‘in terms of ability’.
While Bruno Fernandes himself and Aaron Wan-Bissaka opted for Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United’s new-found goalscoring sensation could not pick between two members of the current Red Devils squad when asked to name the finest player he has ever shared a dressing room with.
Rasmus Hojlund has struck up a growing understanding with Marcus Rashford in the final third, the former setting up the latter for that gorgeous finish away at Wolves a fortnight ago. Fernandes, meanwhile, remains United’s most consistent source of creativity, Hojlund suddenly finding chances a lot more forthcoming these days after a rather barren start to life in England’s top flight.

Hojlund hails two Manchester United stars
“In terms of ability, probably Marcus or Bruno,” the Denmark international told JD Sports on TikTok when asked to name his best-ever team-mate.
Hojlund scored for a fifth straight Premier League game away to Aston Villa last time out. Tapping in the most typical of centre-forwards finishes as he did his very best Ruud van Nistelrooy impression in the Midlands. Find the net again away to Luton Town this weekend and the former Atalanta frontman will become the youngest player in the competition’s history to find the net for six games in a row.
‘Very, very special’
“It was only two-and-a-half years ago that he was in the Copenhagen squad,” United and Denmark legend Peter Schmeichel tells talkSPORT, Hojlund marking his 21st birthday with a trademark thumping finish in the recent 3-0 thrashing of West Ham.
“(Copenhagen) signed another striker and they told him to go back to the Under 19s. Sturm Graz came in for him and said ‘we’ve got to give you first team football’. He took it. And the first seven months there, nine months at Atalanta after, and now he’s at Manchester United.
“It’s gone really, really quick for him. But at no point have I been in any doubt that this lad is the real deal. He’s got everything in his locker. He poaches goals, his movement…
“I’ve seen this for a year now since he broke into the Danish team. You know when you see something which is very, very special that doesn’t come along very often? That’s what I’ve seen in him.”
