Manchester United have a front three to build around, with each of them scoring goals over the past few weeks.

Since Boxing Day, Manchester United’s trio of Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho have been putting up numbers.

This is small but notable progress during a four game span, which saw Hojlund miss one of the games, against Forest, through illness.

Rashford making an impact

What is encouraging is that the trio are helping each other out, with Rashford setting up a goal for Garnacho against Villa before being repaid against Forest.

Against Tottenham yesterday, Hojlund set up a goal for Rashford, who is steadily adding to his own personal season tally.

Rashford is up to six goals for the season plus five assists, a tally of 11 goal contributions matched only by Bruno Fernandes.

This was his first goal in all competitionsat Old Trafford this season, ending an unhappy spell in front of goal at home.

Opta report this home goal drought ended on his ’14th appearance and from his 32nd shot at home in 2023-24′.

Rashford message

Marcus Rashford sent a message after Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham, which elicited a response from strike partners Hojlund and Garnacho.

Both of them left ‘fire’ emojis on Rashford’s message, showing their mutual admiration for his performance.

Words of encouragement between the trio can only help. They are players who must have learned by now to shut out the negative words from pundits and social media, and keep to their own inner circle.

All three of them are coming into form, and they will each be looking to pick up where they left off after the upcoming Premier League break.
