Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has conducted his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Manchester City.
Rangnick faced reporters at the briefing which was streamed live on United’s official app at 1.30pm and was asked for a fitness update ahead of the huge game.
Edinson Cavani was first ruled out of the game against Southampton last month, which United drew 1-1 and has not played a minute since.
But he has apparently returned to training and he should be fit to be part of Rangnick’s squad for the trip to Etihad Stadium.

“He is back in training since yesterday, today was his second training session with the team,” said Rangnick when asked about Cavani.
“He looks good to be involved on Sunday, but there are still some question marks over other players. It looks good for Edinson for Sunday.
“With Edinson being available for this game and the upcoming games, we have other options.”

United have not been clinical in front of goal in recent games and a fully fit Cavani could help with that – so this news is a real boost.
United have been waiting for Cavani and there have been recent games where having him to come off the bench would have been useful.
It seems likely he will be on the bench but if United are chasing the game in the closing stages, he could be thrown on to grab a goal.
It is to be hoped that Cavani can stay fit during what is a crucial month for United in the Premier League and Champions League.
