Ralf Rangnick has conducted his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester United’s return to action against Leicester.
Rangnick spoke to the media at the briefing which was streamed on United’s official app at 1.30pm after an extended break from games.
He was asked about various subjects and decided to give a brief injury update while discussing Paul Pogba’s comments during the international break.
Rangnick said the Frenchman will be asked to play in a variety of roles while United have absentees and said that Edinson Cavani will be out for weeks with the injury he picked up on international duty.

“I also heard that Pogba said he had to play different positions in the last couple of weeks,” said Rangnick.
“Yes, of course since the game against West Ham on 21 January, we have lost three strikers. Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani.
“Cavani is injured again and will be out for the next couple of weeks. If people are out, then people like Paul, who are flexible midfield players, will have to play somewhere else, this is a normal thing.”

Cavani has struggled with injury throughout the season and the periods where he is just coming back from international duty have proved particularly problematic.
It might have been hoped that he could stay fit and play a bit part in the business end of the season, but now it remains to be seen when he is back.
Perhaps the clash with Arsenal on April 23 is a realistic target, but United need to have won the three games before that to make that match as important as it can be.
