Rangnick says Shaw faces 2-3 weeks out injured
Ralf Rangnick has conducted his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
Rangnick faced the media at the briefing which was streamed live on United’s official app at 1.30pm and was asked about the fitness of his squad.
The German said that Edinson Cavani is still out, which was expected with him facing a period of weeks on the sidelines.
Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay and Raphael Varane all started the game against Leicester but Rangnick said that all three will miss out at Goodison.

“Cristiano is back again. Luke is still injured,” Rangnick said. “We had to take him off at half-time and he’s having problems with his leg where had his operation back in 2015.
“Yeah, the doctor told me that they decided to remove that metal thing in his leg, there are two bolts that need to be removed and this will happen tomorrow and that means he will be out for the next two or three weeks.
“Cavani is still injured. Rapha Varane is still injured, he will be missing for the game tomorrow and the same is true with Scott McTominay, I’m afraid.
“He’s having problems with the sole of his foot. So those four players will be missing.”
For Shaw, it is another setback having missed all of United’s games in March and making his comeback during the international break.
It is also frustrating that Varane and McTominay will be missing.
The Frenchman has been United’s best defender for much of the season and adds much needed pace and calm to the backline.
McTominay adds energy to the side, and that will be needed tomorrow against a Toffees side who are scrapping for their lives down at the bottom of the table.
