Manchester United have agreed a deal with Cardiff City to sign teenage striker Gabriele Biancheri, reports The Athletic.
The 16-year-old Wales Under-17 international, who also qualifies to represent England and Italy, completed a medical over the weekend and is set to join the Red Devils.
Biancheri will sign a scholar contract with the twenty-time league champions and then a long-term professional deal when he turns 17 in September.
While the Reds don’t need to get Biancheri to sign on the dotted line before the January transfer window slams shut tomorrow night, Erik ten Hag’s side have acted swiftly to sign a player who was attracting interest from other clubs.
With Biancheri closing in on a move to M16, United in Focus looks at the players who have played for Manchester United and Cardiff City in the Premier League era.
