Alexis Sanchez has arrived at Carrington for his medical ahead of his move to Manchester United.
The Arsenal striker took a private plane to Manchester Airport which landed earlier this afternoon and he headed straight to United’s AON Training Complex to complete his move from the London side.
Sanchez was left out of Arsene Wenger’s squad for yesterday’s game against Crystal Palace as it became evident that his move to Old Trafford was imminent.
It is expected that the club will make an announcement tomorrow to formally confirm the signing. Sanchez has scored 8 goals this season and will arrive at United as part of a straight swap deal which will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the other way.
It is arguably the biggest January transfer United have pulled off since their stunning swoop for Andy Cole 23 years ago.
Sanchez scored 80 goals for Arsenal in 165 games. He has 39 goals in 119 appearances for the Chile national team.
