Onana completed his £43million move to Old Trafford from Inter Milan on Thursday, signing a five-year-deal at the Carabao Cup champions.

He is Erik ten Hag’s second signing of the summer and likely the most important signing the club have mad win years.

Onana has been handed the number 24 shirt on his move which is a shirt he has worn throughout his career.

The Cameroonian has signed just in time to take part in the entire USA tour, with it yet to be seen if he is ready to play against Arsenal on Saturday night.

Onana joins United training

A sight to behold as Manchester United’s new signing takes part in training for the first time.

Many fans will be incredibly keen to see the quality of his on-ball talent and could be surprised to see the keeper involved in ‘rondo activities’.

This being one of the key reasons that Ten Hag highlighted following his arrival, he told the club website:

“But, nowadays, football also demands good playing from the back, out-playing qualities, and that is a quality Andre has. You need both and you need to cover both areas. So yeah, we’re happy, of course.”

This a massive change from the previous goalkeeper who struggled with his feet, a hugely exciting signing and it is great to see him getting started.

When will he make his debut

It is a huge possibility that Onana features in some way against Arsenal on Saturday, with Ten Hag probably keen to get him involved as soon as possible.

He could be thrown straight in, with Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson also in the squad, if Onana is not deemed ready .
