Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund has certainly been one of the shining lights for the Red Devils despite missing the first month of the campaign through injury.

The Danish forward, who joined the club from Atalanta for £64 million, has scored two goals for Erik ten Hag’s side since his debut as a substitute against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Rasmus Hojlund netted for Manchester United against Galatasaray during yet another poor performance from the Red Devils in a stunning 3-2 defeat to Turkish side Galatasaray.

The 20-year-old has been a bright spark in what has been a rather dour season so far for Ten Hag’s side.

Scholes & Ferdinand on Hojlund

Speaking after United’s game against the high-flying Turkish side, former United star Paul Scholes was full of praise for the Danish forward.

“He started the game really well,” Scholes said. “He is the type of forward who thrives off crosses across the box and he took it really well.

“I loved his second goal too, there’s a bit of Ruud Van Nistelrooy in him.”

Hojlund’s impact

The Danish forward has certainly been a hit with the Old Trafford fanbase and the finish for the second goal he scored was superb. The poise and confidence the 20-year-old had when he charged through from the halfway line was superb.

Despite the team around him seemingly struggling with confidence, the young forward has been the man to excite the United fanbase.

United are seemingly in tatters after a horrendous start to the season but the Danish forward is seemingly carrying them and doing his best and is seemingly the only shining light in what is certainly an alarming and worrying slump from last season’s good performances under Ten Hag.
