Paul Pogba suggests he wants to play again for United this season

Paul Pogba may well be ruled out for the rest of Manchester United’s season with the injury which forced him off in the first half of Tuesday’s loss at Liverpool.

If Pogba does not play again this season, he may not play in United colours again, given his contract expires in the summer and he has so far held off on signing a new one.

He was not part of the United side which took on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this lunchtime.

He sent a good luck message to his teammates, but it did not come before the game, it came at half-time, with the score at 2-1 to the Gunners.

He posted on Instagram at the interval, and also said that he will try and get himself back fit before the end of the season.

Pogba may hope his teammates have kept United in the hunt for the Champions League spots by that stage, with Chelsea next up after Arsenal.

We have seen plenty of social media messages of unity from United’s players during a season where there have been plenty of poor displays to bounce back from.

United conceded early here against Arsenal, showing no immediate response to the Anfield debacle, in which Pogba played a limited part.

Will Pogba get back fit before the end of the campaign? Time will tell, and would the Frenchman risk further injury for the sake of a club he is seemingly planning to leave?
