Paul Pogba sends three-word message to Manchester United fans ahead of Atletico clash

Manchester United’s current team has plenty of questions around it raised by inconsistent results this season.

The one aspect the players do not want any doubts over, is over their desire. Ahead of United’s crucial Champions League clash, Paul Pogba had a very short message to fans.

Pogba’s message brings some positive reassurance to supporters about the huge efforts United’s players will go to against Atletico.

These Champions League nights are special, and these are the type of matches superstars like Pogba live and play the game for.

Forget all the rumours about Pogba wanting out when his contract expires; look, that will probably happen anyway, but right now, tonight, he won’t care about any of that. He just wants to win, and for United to make this season count.

There are legitimate questions over whether Pogba will start the game for United against Atletico. He played in the number 10 role against Tottenham, and its very possible Bruno Fernandes will replace him, after the Portuguese star returned from illness.

One of the temptations to play Pogba is because he is used to big games, having been there and done it with France in international tournaments. United need this Pogba to turn up tonight, because we haven’t seen enough of him in big Champions League knockout games in a Red Devils shirt.

This game is a chance for Pogba and United to really show what they are capable of, against an Atletico side who are hard to beat, but also going through their own troubled season, and also hit by injuries.

With the game poised at 1-1 for United, there really is no excuse for Ralf Rangnick’s side, who have home advantage and a fully fit squad. Even losing on penalties, if it comes to that, would be unacceptable. United have to get this won on the night, and have 90 minutes, plus another 30 more if needed, to get it done.
