Paul Pogba’s long-awaited return to football could be completed this weekend with the 32-year-old available for Monaco.
It has been over two years since Paul Pogba last appeared in a professional football match for Juventus.
The former Manchester United midfielder was initially given a four-year ban from football for failing a drugs test while at Juventus, although his suspension was then reduced.
Pogba was cleared to play again in March, but he spent the summer looking for a new club and has then had to overcome injury setbacks.
Pogba signed for Monaco and his first appearance for the French side could come this weekend.

A return was targeted in October, but Pogba suffered a fresh injury which prolonged his return.
Now, L’Equipe are reporting that Pogba is available for Monaco’s trip to Rennes on Saturday evening.
It has been 26 months since his last appearance, but the Carrington graduate can finally complete his return to professional football.
Pogba signed a two-year contract worth €3.84 million (£3.4m) per year at Monaco. The Ligue 1 side are currently sixth in the table so Pogba can help launch a push for Champions League qualification.
Paul Pogba has months to launch 2026 World Cup bid
Pogba became a world champion during his time as a United player when he won the 2018 World Cup with France.
He scored in the final as France beat Croatia 4-2, and was a key player in Didier Deschamps’ side. Pogba was ruled out of the 2022 World Cup after suffering a knee injury.
With the 2026 World Cup now on the horizon, Pogba only has half a season to work his way back into the France setup.
