Paul Pogba has been complimentary of Manchester United-linked Aurelien Tchouameni when asked about the Real Madrid midfielder in the past.
Although Paul Pogba did not reach the heights expected at Manchester United, the French midfielder did win the World Cup during that time.
To many, he is seen as a flop, but most of his teammates will speak fondly about him and his ability as a midfielder.
United didn’t see the best of Pogba, and his career hasn’t gone as planned since he left. That shouldn’t rule out the prospect of signing another talented French midfielder if Aurelien Tchouameni becomes available.

Paul Pogba rates Man Utd-linked Aurelien Tchouameni
Tchouameni recently emerged as a United target, but he is not the only French midfielder at Real Madrid to be linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Eduardo Camavinga was also seen as a target not long ago, but I think most United fans would take Tchouameni as their preference over the two, given he has solidified himself in the role as Real Madrid’s defensive midfielder.
In October 2021, United and Chelsea were in the race for Tchouameni, before he opted to sign for Real Madrid.
Before his big move, Tchouameni was impressing at Monaco, but he had already played alongside Pogba in the France national team.
Pogba lavished Tchouameni in praise at the time, telling RTL (via The Express): “Very, very good. He’s not a boy, he’s a man.
“It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality.
“We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side.”
While Tchouameni is a mainstay in the France national team under Didier Deschamps, that is no longer the case for Pogba.

There is nothing to suggest Real Madrid is actively thinking about selling Tchouameni.
It is believed they are expecting a number of departures this summer as they look to reshape the squad.
That could mean cashing in on players like Camavinga, but Tchouameni is a mainstay in the Real Madrid team. It would come as a huge shock if they sold him this summer.
