Jean-Claude Blanc has been bombarded with calls from agents pushing potential managers to Manchester United.
The Ineos era at Manchester United is about to begin after Sir Jim Ratcliffe secured a 25% stake in the club.
Ratcliffe’s deal must still be ratified by the Premier League butanes should be in charge soon enough.
A revamp of United’s football department is on the horizon with Ratcliffe and co taking full control of football operations.
There will now be questions about Erik ten Hag’s future, especially after such a disappointing season, and agents are seemingly trying to push managers towards Old Trafford…
Manchester United speak to Graham Potter as Jean-Claude Blanc inundated with candidates
Ten Hag is already under immense pressure after three defeats in the last five to go alongside a Champions League exit.
ESPN now claim that Ineos plan to keep the Dutchman at least until the end of the season but won’t be afraid to make a change if required.
It’s stated that Ineos CEO Jean-Claude Blanc – formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus – has been bombarded with calls from agents pushing the merits of their clients.
Agents seemingly sense that Ten Hag’s job is in danger and are trying to tempt Ineos into an immediate change by pushing other managers.
There is one manager who has already been spoken to though.
The report claims that Graham Potter has been ‘informally sounded out’ about his plans for the future.
Potter has been out of work since losing his job at Chelsea back in April, suffering the sack after less than seven months in charge.
Ineos were interested in taking Potter to Nice over the summer and seemingly still admire the Englishman, potentially making him a favourite for the United job if Ten Hag moves on any time soon.

Potter will divide opinion but he isn’t a lost cause
Potter’s stock was so high at Brighton and Hove Albion, impressing with a superb style of play on the South Coast before being lured away by Chelsea.
The job at Stamford Bridge was a chaotic one to say the least, with an enormous squad and Todd Boehly splashing cash on various players.
Potter couldn’t steady the ship at Chelsea and ended up losing his job after just 31 games in charge.
That job has seriously tarnished Potter’s reputation and he has gone from being seen as an exciting coach from his Brighton days to now being seen as a flop.
Potter clearly still has talent as a coach though and his experience at Chelsea may well help his development moving forward, especially for another big club like United.
The Potter rumours will split United supporters but Ten Hag will seemingly be safe for a while yet, with the shadow of Potter potentially looming over him amid the clear admiration from Ineos.
