Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has failed to generate interest this summer and the club expect to be stuck with him.
Manchester United are open to selling a number of players before the end of the transfer window to raise funds, cut salary and trim the squad.
Anthony Martial is not expected to leave. ESPN report United have received ‘no firm interest this summer’ in the Frenchman.
Eric Bailly, Fred, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek could all leave instead.

2015 Golden Boy winner
Anthony Martial’s situation is a real fall from grace for Manchester United’s number nine, who should be hitting his peak at 27-years-old.
Martial was the 2015 Golden Boy winner, the prestigious award given to the best young prospect in Europe.
United spent big to sign him that year, but the real gem in Monaco’s youth system was Kylian Mbappe, winner of the award in 2017.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Martial has been inconsistent on the pitch and the trouble over the past three seasons has been staying on it. Ever since his best career goal tally of 23 in 2019/20, Martial has been hampered by numerous injuries.
Martial played 0 minutes in pre-season
Despite a total of eight friendly games being organised for Manchester United to play in pre-season, Anthony Martial has not made the matchday squad for any of them.
He is still dealing with the after-effects of the hamstring injury which caused him to miss June’s FA Cup final.
These injuries are the main reason why there has been ‘no interest’ in his services, clubs see him as too risky a proposition.
Martial’s contract at United runs until June 2024. Whatever the next year holds for him, and we predict another very inconsistent one, it looks like he is going to be sticking around until then.
