Nemanja Vidic admitted to Dimitar Berbatov and Rio Ferdinand that even his early prediction for one Manchester United legend exceeded his wildest expectations.
The 43-year-old Serbian shared the pitch with fellow Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand and Red Devils cult hero Dimitar Berbatov during his time at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson brought Nemanja Vidic to United in 2006 after he was signed from Spartak Moscow, with the Red Devils legend enjoying incredible success at the club.
Vidic and Ferdinand forged a remarkable defensive partnership at the heart of Sir Alex Ferguson’s teams of the past and the pair complemented one another with their styles.
The former Serbia international lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy and three League Cups during his time under Ferguson.
Vidic spent the large majority of his United career under Ferguson, with the former United defender briefly playing under David Moyes before his exit in 2014.
The former United captain briefly played for Inter Milan before he called it time on his illustrious playing career in 2016.

Vidic’s first impressions of Man Utd legend
Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic was reunited with Dimitar Berbatov and Rio Ferdinand for an appearance on the latter’s YouTube channel.
Vidic opened up about his experience of crossing paths with Cristiano Ronaldo, who shot to superstardom during his first spell at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson brought Cristiano Ronaldo to United from Sporting CP in 2003 and the 39-year-old Portuguese superstar excelled at the Red Devils.
“If you remember, when Cristiano Ronaldo first came to Manchester United, he was a bit like Berbatov,” Vidic said.
“He likes to entertain [on the pitch], play good football, show tricks and dribble players. His priority was not scoring goals.
“But in the last two years of his career at United, he totally changed.”
Man Utd legend Vidic on Ronaldo prediction
Cristiano Ronaldo lifted three Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, two League Cups and an FA Cup with the Red Devils.
The United legend left Old Trafford for the first time and completed a blockbuster move to Real Madrid in 2009 for a world-record fee at the time.
Ronaldo only carried on adding to his legendary legacy at Real Madrid, with the Al Nassr star lifting four Champions Leagues, two La Ligas and two Copa del Reys.
Vidic admitted that he felt it was the right time for former United teammate Ronaldo to sign for Los Blancos and expected him to do well for the La Liga side.
However, the former United defender told Berbatov and Ferdinand that even he was surprised at how well Ronaldo sustained his level of success at Madrid.
“I thought he was ready to go to Madrid, and I was definitely sure that he was going to do well,” Vidic added.
“But I didn’t expect he was going to do that well for so many years.”
