Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is enduring a long wait for his first Premier League goal, but there could be a lot more to come from him.
Rasmus Hojlund has shown his ability to score goals with five in the Champions League to date.
This means that in all competitions, he is just one behind current leading scorer Scott McTominay, who has six in total.
Will midfield ace McTominay keep up this goalscoring? It’s a big ask. It’s why Hojlund need to start finding the net in the Premier League.

Hojlund backed to finish as top scorer
Rasmus Hojlund is being backed to finish the 2023/24 season as Manchester United’s top goalscorer in all competitions.
Speaking to MUTV’s The Debate, former United academy forward Danny Webber says he expects Hojlund will top the charts when the season finishes.
He said: “I’m going to go with Rasmus. It’s a bold statement, he’s behind in Premier League goals and if we’re talking overall obviously he’s got his Champions League goals.
“I’m going to go with Hojlund because I believe that he will keep doing the right things and the goals will come.”
Hojlund began the season looking sharp after his £64 million move from Atalanta, but against Chelsea there were signs that his lack of goals has been getting to him, with his performance lacking a spark, although he is trying to stay positive.
Ben Thornley gave his view on Hojlund’s chances of finishing top scorer, commenting: “I did toy with Hojlund to be fair, I think when the floodgates open he will score goals, but I’m still just going to go with Bruno.”
Marcus Rashford losing steam
Before the season it was Marcus Rashford who was the obvious choice to finish as top scorer. He did last season, netting a career best 30 goals.
This season there has been no sign he can replicate that, he has scored only two goals, one of which was a penalty which Fernandes charitably let him take.
Rashford has lost his place in the starting line-up, and will need to go on a run of good form to earn back the trust of Manchester United supporters, and his manager.
He is a streaky player, so you wouldn’t bet against it. But on current form, it looks like another player will finish top of the goalscoring pile this season.
