Alejandro Garnacho lit up Old Trafford on Saturday to help Manchester United to a 3-1 victory over Lens.
It was a surprise to many that rising star Alejandro Garnacho was not handed the number seven shirt this summer, with it given to new signing Mason Mount instead.
Mount, a more proven player, does not quite have the electricity Garnacho does in his game. The young Argentine was in full flow on Saturday to spark a friendly win over Lens.
Garnacho was United’s most dangerous player and provided an assist for Antony’s goal to give United the lead. He was unlucky not to score himself.

MUTV co-commentator David May spoke highly of the youngster and backed him to play a key role in 2023/24.
May said: “I love that lad Garnacho. He goes straight for the jugular. He’s going to be a massive player for us this season.”
