Micah Richards has named which right-back he would rather have in his side out of Gary Neville and Kyle Walker.
Though they may still be short on centre-backs, England are lucky enough to be overflowing with right-backs ahead of Euro 2024.
Kieran Trippier, Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold and several more will be hoping for a starting place in Gareth Southgate’s side this summer but they will all likely have to wait behind Kyle Walker.
The Manchester City star is now 33 but remains as fast as ever and has kept hold of his England spot for years despite the stiff competition.
It was a lot different for Gary Neville, though, as the Manchester United legend was near-uncontested for his spot in the national team for 12 years.
Micah Richards has now named which of the pair he prefers.

Who is better out of Gary Neville and Kyle Walker?
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Richards said: “It’s hard, isn’t it?
“Because Gary Neville is so self-deprecating now, the way he talks about himself that he wasn’t a great… he was a great player.
“Yes, he was in a great team but he still had to go up and down and he was consistent. Played a lot of games for them, played a lot of games for England.
“In terms of one-on-one defending, I think Kyle Walker’s better. In terms of positional sense, I would say Gary Neville was better.
“In terms of delivery in the final third I’d probably say Gary Neville but in terms of stopping a counter-attack, being able to adapt to a new system, I would say Kyle.
“They’ve both got strengths and weaknesses. It’s too hard. Gary Neville.”
Co-host Gary Lineker added: “They’ve both won everything, I think I just give it to Kyle Walker for that extra bit of pace defensively that he has.
“But there’s not a lot in it. Two great right-backs, two great players for England.”
Alan Shearer also offered his opinion: “Gary Neville all day.”
Who won more trophies?
Richards certainly laid out the positives and negatives of each player pretty well.
Walker is the faster, more defensively daunting and tactically versatile of the duo but Neville had fantastic delivery from the right and hardly ever put a foot wrong.
Both have been incredibly successful and won all there is to win in their respective sides of Manchester. But who won more?
Well, Neville, by a long shot. The former United captain won the Premier League title 12 times to Walker’s five so far.
He also won the Champions League twice, four FA Cups and three League Cups. Walker has one Champions League triumph, two FA Cup wins but four League Cups.
Neville has more trophies but Walker has had a better time for England, having helped take the Three Lions to a Euros final and World Cup semi-final.
