Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund is celebrating after he scored his first Premier League goal for the club.
It has been a long, unpleasant wait at times for Rasmus Hojlund. After seeing a goal disallowed in his first league start against Brighton in September, he has had to wait, and wait, and wait.
Last night, in the final game at Old Trafford in 2023, Hojlund finally broke the streak, and did so in a huge way.
The Dane scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute to fire Manchester United to a 3-2 win over Aston Villa.

Rasmus Hojlund scoring his first Premier League goal was a huge moment for him, and the 20-year-old was mobbed by his teammates.
Andre Onana ran from one side of the pitch to the other to celebrate, showing the spirit in the team, and how pleased the players are for the Dane.
This was reflected by some of those not on the pitch, with Mason Mount among those to send him a message.
Mount wrote on Instagram Stories: “Rasssy!! Deserve it brother! @rasmus.hoejlund What a win lads!!!”
Harry Maguire also wrote: “Love it lads”.
Hojlund can make Manchester United better
Manchester United need a goalscoring striker, and in recent weeks, Hojlund has not come close.
A lot of this is not his fault, he has not been receiving the service, and it is notable that his goal came from a moment where the ball dropped to him, rather than being laid on by a teammate.
Nonetheless, he did really well to stick it in the back of the net amid a crowded penalty box, showing a desire to keep going, maintaining his focus.
Manchester United are stronger with a striker who scores goals, it’s that simple. His strike was the difference between a draw and a win.
One thing is for sure. It’s just the start for Hojlund at Manchester United. There are a lot more goals to come.
