However, one man who was key in putting United in a position where the goal was a winner, Harry Maguire, is who has drawn the most praise following the game.
Maguire continued this return to form in a United shirt, as he recovered quickly from a knock on the head to be really solid.
Brilliant both on and off the ball, Maguire was top-class. Now Martin Keown has agreed.

Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day, Keown who is a former Arsenal defender gave his verdict on Maguire.
“He’s one of the top central defenders in the Premier League,” Keown raved after yet another top performance.
He then continued to add that, “he was dominant in every area today.”
Peter Schmeichel is another who was delighted with Maguire as he called him ‘majestic’.
Quickly becoming a key man for Ten Hag
Maguire has been one of Erik ten Hag’s most reliable performers over the past few weeks. Ever since Lisandro Martinez was ruled out, Maguire has stepped up to be counted and has made himself irreplaceable.
That was evident against Fulham, even with a potential knock he played the entire game as Raphael Varane watched from the bench.
He has gone from zero to hero so quickly and now has the full backing of the fanbase thanks to his excellent displays.
