Manchester United summer signing Martin Dubravka kept a clean sheet against Alexis Sanchez’s Chile for Slovakia in last night’s international friendly.
The 33-year-old, who joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan from Newcastle United, picked up his tenth international clean sheet at senior level on his 31st cap for Slovakia.
Against Sanchez’s La Roja, United’s number two goalkeeper was awarded man-of-the-match by SofaScore with a rating of 8.4 in a game that finished 0-0.
The Slovak Press also praised Dubravka for making several crucial interventions which ensured his nation frustrated the South Americans.

Their report wrote: “Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka nullified the opportunities of both Arturo Vidal and Diego Rubio, the goalkeeper of the Slovak team successfully intervened on other chances with a lot of pressure from the Chilean players.”
Dubravka made six saves against Chile, three of which were from inside the penalty area, and he also made two high claims.
Erik ten Hag’s sixth and final Manchester United signing of the summer transfer window had 46 touches and completed 28 of his 34 attempted passes (82%).
Sanchez, who was one of United’s biggest flops, had two shots on target, but he couldn’t find a way past an inspired Dubravka.

While Ten Hag’s number one David de Gea wasn’t called-up to Spain’s World Cup squad by Luis Enrique, Dubravka will be hoping to get the nod to start the twenty-time league champions’ first game after the World Cup.
The Red Devils welcome Vincent Kompany’s Burnley to Old Trafford in a Carabao Cup fourth-round tie on December 21.
Having made his debut against Aston Villa in the third-round, Dubravka will be hoping to make his second appearance for the Reds in the same competition.
