Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has been asking for understanding over his decision to join Manchester United on loan last summer.
Manchester United signed Martin Dubravka on loan for the season, a deal which was later cut short in January.
Dubravka rejoined Newcastle, with Manchester United loaning in Jack Butland as a replacement.
The Slovakian made two appearances for Manchester United in the early rounds of the Carabao Cup.

Martin Dubravka asks for understanding
With the season over, Martin Dubravak spoke to the Chronicle about how he feels about Newcastle, insisting he remains committed to the club.
He asked for understanding over his move to Manchester United, commenting that he felt he had a better chance of playing games.
Dubravka said: “I am still part of this club and I am very proud of that. Some fans might look at me going to Manchester United last summer and not understand why.
“They don’t see my situation from my perspective. I was just trying to find a position where I could play.
“Any of them who would be in my position they would probably make the same decision. In the last few months, I have been back at my ‘home club’ and I always feel very welcome here.”
Dubravka’s comments may tell their own story, that he felt he had a better chance of displacing David de Gea than Nick Pope.
However, this proved not to be the case, with De Gea bouncing back from an early season blunder against Brentford, to play really well across the first part of the season.
De Gea took a step back in the second half of the campaign although did finish with the Golden Glove.
Dubravka for his part, did not do himself many favours when he did perform, looking shaky, including on the winter tour of Spain.
He ended up making two appearances for Newcastle after returning, but could not play in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United due to being cup-tied.
