Marcus Rashford is trying to learn as much as he can from Erik ten Hag

Marcus Rashford scored his first Manchester United goal under Erik ten Hag earlier this week in the win against Liverpool.

The goal was Rashford’s first competitive strike since January, and came at the perfect time.

Former United striker Wayne Rooney had told The Times in the lead up to the game that he would drop Rashford, along with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Erik ten Hag stuck by Rashford, and he was repaid with a strike which proved to be the winning goal.

Rashford is trying to learn

Marcus Rashford is feeling appreciative towards his manager for sticking by him, and appears to already have a great respect for him.

The forward sent a message out yesterday with a picture from the latest training session, showing how he was listening to Ten Hag’s advice and trying to take it all on board.

Rashford’s goal was the 94th of his Manchester United career. If he can surpass 100, then he will move up into the top 20 club scorers of all time.

Having only scored five goals last season, Rashford is hoping to get back to the form which saw him hit 20 goals plus, two seasons in a row beforehand.

If he listens to Erik ten Hag, then he’s got a chance. The manager has a strong track record of improving players, and Rashford can benefit if he buys in.
