Just when Manchester United fans thought things couldn’t get any worse, Fabrizio Romano has given a huge Marcus Rashford update.
The Reds were torn apart and toyed with by Manchester City in the 4-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium yesterday.
It meant that the Citizens have done the double over us in the Premier League this season with a finishing aggregate score of 6-1.
With Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo both unavailable for the trip to Pep Guardiola’s side, Marcus Rashford was United’s only recognised striker option.

However, interim boss Ralf Rangnick opted against starting United’s number 10 and instead decided to take a leaf out of Guardiola’s book and play with a false number nine.
It was often Paul Pogba occupying the role, but Bruno Fernandes also took up the position.
In the 64th minute with United trailing 2-1, the German made a double change which saw Rashford and Jesse Lingard come on for Pogba and Anthony Elanga.
The plan didn’t work and by the end of the game it looked like the United players couldn’t get off the pitch quick enough.

The morning after the humiliation and transfer expert Romano has claimed that Rashford is considering his Manchester United future due to him being concerned with his lack of game time.
The 24-year-old’s current contract does expire next summer, but the club does have the option to trigger a one-year extension.
There are going to be major changes at Old Trafford in the summer with a new permanent manager being appointed and several players likely to leave the club.
Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani are all likely to leave the club on free transfers and there is uncertainty surrounding the futures of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.

Rashford will get a better idea of where he stands at the club by the time he reports for pre-season.
But Romano’s revelation highlights the frustration Rashford, who has started just two Premier League games in 2022, is currently feeling.
