Newcastle defender Dan Burn had praise for Marcus Rashford and Antony after Sunday’s Premier League game.
Manchester United were second best, and Erik ten Hag admitted the team were not up to scratch.
He told the club media: “If you want to win big games, you have to be mature and I didn’t see that today on the pitch.”
Newcastle deserved their clean sheet, with Manchester United landing only one effort on target.

Burn praised Manchester United duo
Marcus Rashford and Antony did not enjoy strong games against Newcastle. Antony was lively but he was substituted off after an hour, much to his annoyance.
Despite this, Newcastle defender Dan Burn was full of respect for the Manchester United duo.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Burn was asked about how he found it playing up against Antony and Marcus Rashford.
He responded: “Yeah, tough players. Obviously world class players. I think Antony has given us a few good games, very skilful.”
Newcastle came out the blocks fast in the game and from early on, it shaped up as a potentially long 90 minutes for the Red Devils.
Marcus Rashford’s form has slipped a little since the Carabao Cup final he played against Newcastle. He has 27 goals this season, while Antony has netted seven of his own.
Manchester United have two home games upcoming now against Brentford, and Everton. Both of these games will be challenging, with Casemiro still out suspended.
If Rashford and Antony deserve this label as ‘world class’, then they must step up and show it over the next couple of matches, Manchester United need them to do so.
