Manchester United will aim to put some life back into their collapsing Premier League campaign when they travel to face Marco Silva’s Fulham next.
Marco Silva has done a great job at The Cottagers this season, driving his team to 10th place, just three points behind Aston Villa in 8th and seven points ahead of Man Utd.
Silva was tipped as a potential Man Utd manager before the club settled on Ruben Amorim and in the lead-up to the game, he has been nothing but respectful towards the club.

In fact, he went on to praise a Man Utd star to the heavens, clearly impressed by his quality and character despite tough times at Old Trafford.
Marco Silva raves about Bruno Fernandes
The Portuguese connection will be strong when Fulham face Man Utd, with both managers from Portugal and United captain Bruno Fernandes too.
Silva was asked about Fernandes’ impact, especially in the wake of his late winner vs Rangers in the midweek, and the Fulham boss waxed lyrical about the player.
Silva said: “Since Bruno arrived [in England], I think he’s made a massive impact in a massive club. You are not talking about any club, you are talking about Man United and made a massive impact on them since he arrived.
“And one of the things, even if you are not involved, you can see it, he never hides and that is one of the things clear about himself – for sure, he’s not a player who hides himself or fears something.
“On the pitch, he’s always facing the challenge in front of him and to be honest he’s what you expect from a top player and captain.”
It speaks volumes about Fernandes’ image in the footballing world that Silva, despite being irritated at the extremely United-centric questions in his press conference, devoted a good few minutes to praising him.
Fernandes has become untouchable under another manager
For a player who seems to break records with every game (the good kind!), Fernandes has been scrutinised far too much.
Since arriving under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Fernandes has made himself untouchable under every manager who’s been at United.
That is a testament to his character and quality as, regardless of the playing style or formation, he’s always the first name on the teamsheet.
Silva’s point about the Portuguese international “never hiding” even in difficult moments is something a lot of the Man Utd squad can learn to do.
