Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Manchester United’s legacy is built on much more than winning trophies.
Alongside several other first-team players, the 37-year-old attended a Manchester United Foundation event at a primary school earlier today.
It was evident from the youngster’s faces that it made their day being able to meet their heroes in person and seeing the great Portuguese in the flesh.
Ronaldo is a global icon and despite United’s struggles on the pitch, he is a massive attraction and role model for the younger generations who aspire to be like him some day.

In May 2023, it will be ten years since Sir Alex Ferguson lifted the Premier League trophy aloft. That’s a decade since Manchester United have won the top-flight.
It’s far too long, but our popularity and pulling power off the pitch has never waned, and for all of Manchester City and Liverpool’s success, Manchester United will always be the biggest club in England, if not the world.
It’ll only be a matter of time before Manchester United are top of the footballing mountain once again, possibly even under Erik ten Hag.

It was evident from the short video that Ronaldo uploaded onto Instagram to accompany a picture that the children couldn’t wait to go and high five United’s number seven, he was swarmed with little fans.
That moment will stay with the youngsters forever and some of them were visibly star struck to be in his presence.
Manchester United have a lot of improvements to make on the football pitch, but hopefully a trip to a local school will lift the mood in the dressing room and inspire Ralf Rangnick’s side to get a positive result against Everton on Saturday.
