Manchester United’s Europa League group stage opponents have been drawn. The Red Devils will face Spanish side Real Sociedad, Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol, and Cypriot side Omonia.
Here is a look at three players from each side you need to know, or may recognise…
Real Sociedad
David Silva: A player Manchester United need to introduction to. The former Manchester City star is 36 and still a regular for Sociedad, and could haunt the Red Devils one last time.
Mikel Merino: After a short spell at Newcastle, Mikel Merino has established himself as a top star in Spain. The midfielder started 33 La Liga games for the club last season and is now an international for La Roja.
Takefusa Kubo: The Japanese forward was previously owned by Real Madrid but never played a game for them. After various loan spells he is now at Sociedad, and scored for their winner against Cadiz to start the season.

Sheriff Tiraspol
Momo Yansane: Guinea international striker Yansane scored 12 goals for Sheriff last season. He is one of their dangermen up front.
Pernambuco: The Brazilian winger is on loan at Sheriff from Ukrainian side Lviv until the end of December. He played six games in their Champions League qualifying campaign.
Kay Tejan: Erik ten Hag will be wary of this Dutch talent, who is on loan from second division Dutch side Top OSS, where he scored 14 goals last season.

Omonia
Brandon Barker: Former Manchester City academy winger Brandon Barker has just joined Omonia after a stint at Reading. Before that he had a spell with Rangers
Adam Matthews: A title winner with Celtic, former Sunderland full-back Adam Matthews has also recently signed for the club. The connection here is Omonia’s manager – a familiar face, Neil Lennon.
Mix Diskerud: Another ex Manchester City striker, Mix Diserkud joined from their feeder team New York City and then spent time out on loan. Now at Omonia permanently, he is a USA international striker with 38 caps.
