Manchester United youngster Matej Kovar is set to join English Football League side Cheltenham Town on loan.
The 22-year-old, who is currently on the Reds’ pre-season tour, is due to link up with the League One side on Monday, July 25, according to GloucestershireLive.

The Czech Republic Under-21 international’s move to the Robins will see him be available for the opening game of the season which comes against recently relegated Peterborough United at home.
Kovar will be hoping to establish himself as the club’s number one at Whaddon Road and he will be hoping to lean on his previous loan experience in the Football League.
Matej Kovar to join Cheltenham Town on loan

Kovar has previously played in the third tier of English football at Swindon Town and Burton Albion, making 24 League One appearances across his two loan spells.
In his six appearances under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s Brewers last season, the Czech stopper registered four consecutive clean sheets.
Kovar joined United from 1.FC Slovácko in 2018 and his contract with the Red Devils runs until 2023, with the option of an additional year.

GloucestershireLive report that Kovar is likely to start the campaign as Wade Elliott’s number one, with fellow summer signing Shaun MacDonald challenging him for the starting position.
With Nathan Bishop likely to leave Manchester United on loan as well and Dean Henderson already joining Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan, Erik ten Hag will likely pursue a back-up goalkeeper in the transfer window.
Beyond David de Gea, Tom Heaton would be United’s only senior back-up option to the Spaniard if Bishop also departs.
With Daniel Bachmann and Thomas Strakosha seemingly not options, a potential return for Sergio Romero could be a possibility.
