Alejandro Garnacho trains with Lionel Messi
Alejandro Garnacho is part of the squad alongside Lionel Messi and ideally hopes to share the pitch with him during one of the two upcoming matches.
Whether he does or not, Garnacho’s main goal is to make his international debut, and the Argentine FA are determined to make that happen.
Due to his age, Garnacho must play three matches for Argentina until the nation are guaranteed that he cannot switch allegiances to Spain in the future.
TyC Sports report Garnacho is expected to feature in both of the upcoming games against Australia, Indonesia, and then the World Cup qualifier with Ecuador in September.
Garnacho’s call-up is about more than simply locking him down for the future, he has earned this call-up and manager Lionel Scaloni is intrigued to see what he can do.

El Futbolero report Garnacho is expected to start on the bench against Australia, and will likely make his debut in the second half, and has a chance to start in a more experimental line-up against Indonesia.
This is the third time Garnacho has been called up. The first was before he had even made his Manchester United debut, to be assessed as a future prospect, and the second earlier this year, just before he sustained an ankle injury.
Garnacho, 18, will be determined to make the most of his big chance. From a Manchester United perspective, we just want him back in one piece.
