Manchester United have been pictured training ahead of flying out to the Spanish capital Madrid.

Ralf Rangnick’s side face Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at the Wanda Metropolitano tomorrow night.

The German coach revealed in his pre-match press conference earlier today that Edinson Cavani will not be travelling to face the reigning La Liga champions.

But aside from the Uruguayan’s absence, the 63-year-old seemingly has a clean bill of health ahead of the crunch clash.

The Reds were training at Carrington earlier today before touching down in Madrid later.

As well as Paul Pogba being star struck by the piece of skill Cristiano Ronaldo produced, youngster Hannibal Mejbri has shown off a new haircut.

The Red Devils come into the clash off the back of two consecutive wins against Brighton and Leeds.

With their Real Madrid connections, Ronaldo and Raphael Varane will be well aware that they’ll be going back to the lions den.

It will be an electric and hostile atmosphere, but United have the quality to punish an Atletico side that are languishing down in fifth place in La Liga.

Ronaldo, who has broke Atletico hearts time and time again throughout his career, will be hoping to continue his run of scoring in ever Champions League game he has played this season.
