Manchester United have submitted a £5m loan offer for Newcastle United’s goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The season-long loan move for the 33-year-old would also include a buy option for the Red Devils.
Having been rejected by Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, Erik ten Hag’s attentions have seemingly switched to landing the Slovenian international.
Manchester United submit £5m loan offer for Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka

With just seven days remaining of the summer transfer window, one of United’s key priorities is signing another back-up goalkeeper.
Following Dean Henderson’s season-long loan move to Nottingham Forest, Ten Hag wants another senior goalkeeper to provide competition and cover to David de Gea alongside Tom Heaton.
Dubravka, who has been capped 29 times for Slovenia, was Eddie Howe’s number one at St James’ Park last season.
But the Magpies signed England international Nick Pope from relegated Burnley in the summer and Dubravka has been on the bench for all three Premier League games so far.

Dubravka’s omission from Newcastle’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Tranmere Rovers last night was put down to illness, reports The Athletic.
Karl Darlow was in goal for the Toon Army at Prenton Park with Pope being given the night off and Dubravka missing out.
Having already allowed Freddie Woodman to depart for Preston North End this summer, Howe won’t want to leave himself light in the goalkeeping department, but as well as Darlow he also has Mark Gillespie as an understudy.
While having a buy option for Dubravka is usually the norm when completing loan deals, a lot will depend on Henderson’s long-term future at Manchester United.
Having secured his move to the City Ground before meeting Ten Hag the Dutchman will likely want the one-time England international back at Carrington next summer to challenge De Gea.
