Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has praised his international teammate Vinicius Jr.
After becoming the victim of regular racist taunts in La Liga, Vinicius Jr is fighting back.
BBC Sport reports Vinicius Jr is set to lead a committee of current players as part of a ‘special Fifa anti-racism committee’. FIFA president Gianni Infantino said: “Enough is enough. There will be no more football with racism in it.”
At the weekend, Vinicius Jr’s Brazil played a match against Guinea, which took place in Spain, dubbed a ‘anti-racism friendly’, with the Selecao wearing an all-black kit.

Brazil won the game 4-1, and while the result was positive, the players had a message to send. Manchester United star Casemiro captained the side.
Casemiro spoke to UOL Esporte after the game, and praised his former Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr for the role he is playing.
He said: “Very important to win, even more so in an important place for Vini. Congratulations to CBF and the president who is fighting against racism.
“It’s an important cause, especially fighting against it. Vini has a very strong voice against this.”
Casemiro spoke up for Vinicius Jr after he was abused against Valencia at the end of the season.
Vinicius scored the fourth goal in Brazil’s win, with Joelinton, Rodygo and Eder Militao also on the scoresheet.
While just a friendly, Casemiro insisted it was an important victory. He said: “The World Cup for us starts now, the preparation. It is always important to win.”
Brazil have another friendly against Senegal on Tuesday. Once that is over, Casemiro will get a well-earned rest after a long season for club and country.
