One Manchester United player has clocked up one of the fastest speeds in the Champions League this season.

According to UEFA.com statistics, Marcus Rashford is one of the quickest players in the competition through the opening three games.

Frustratingly, Rashford is yet to score in the Champions League this season.

He has one goal in 12 appearances for Manchester United in 2023/24 so far, all of which have been starts.

Marcus Rashford speed

Champions League statistics show Marcus Rashford has been recorded as one of the fastest players in the tournament, halfway through the group stages.

Teammate Rasmus Hojlund is not far behind. He clocks in at 35.1 km/h, which is the 13th fastest.

Kylian Mbappe is in-between, with his top speed so far at 35.3 km/h.

Unlike Rashford, both Hojlund and Mbappe have been on the scoresheet in the competition this season to date.

Most distance covered

UEFA have also collated data for the most distance covered in the Champions League this season.

Copenhagen’s Rasmus Falk ranks number one with 40.7 kilometres covered, with promising Benfica midfielder Joao Neves in the top five.

Bruno Fernandes is the top Manchester United player, ranking 15th overall, with 35.9 kilometres covered.

Rasmus Hojlund follows with 33 kilometres covered, ranking 45th overall. It is unusual for a striker to figure so highly, and this shows the work rate the Dane is putting in.
