Manchester United star Anthony Elanga shows off new haircut while working hard in gym

Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga has shown off his new haircut while working hard in the gym with a personal trainer.

The 20-year-old played twice for Sweden in the last eight days in international friendlies against Mexico and Algeria.

United’s number 36 didn’t score his second goal for his country in either of the games, but he would have welcomed the game time.

With Sweden falling short in their quest to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Elanga and Sweden’s national team captain Victor Lindelof will likely form part of United’s travelling party that heads to Cadiz for a training camp in December, which will include friendly matches against La Liga sides Cadiz and Real Betis.

Elanga shared a picture of himself putting in the hard yards in the gym on his Instagram story.

As you can see the nine-time Sweden international’s hair is now braided while the pacey winger is working hard at 10pm.

While Erik ten Hag may look to bring in a striker to fill the void left by outgoing marksman Cristiano Ronaldo following the termination of our former number seven’s contract, Elanga will be looking to capitalise on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s departure.

The 37-year-old was ahead of the academy graduate in Ten Hag’s forward pecking order, and if the Red Devils don’t sign a replacement in the January transfer window – any chance of Elanga departing on loan come the new year will likely evaporate, especially with Facundo Pellistri likely to go out on loan ahead of him.

Elanga has made 13 appearances under Ten Hag, six of which have been starts, but he’s only provided one assist from those outings so far this season.

The youngster, who was handed his United debut by interim boss Ralf Rangnick, hasn’t scored for the twenty-time league champions since netting in the Wanda Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid in February.

Realistically Antony, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho are all ahead of Elanga when vying for a spot across United’s forward line.

But Elanga will be hoping his new haircut brings a change in his goalscoring fortunes.
