Manchester United staff are said to be incredibly high on the potential of one of the exciting youngsters at Old Trafford.
This season, Manchester United have seen their best performers also be the youngest in the team.
This includes Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund and lastly the mesmerising winger, Alejandro Garnacho who has made the right wing his own.
Now, it’s been claimed that staff at Old Trafford see one of these three as having Cristiano Ronaldo potential.
Manchester United have a Ronaldo-like talent at the club
The claim over United having a player to label as the ‘next Ronaldo’ comes on the Footballers Football Podcast with Radio 1’s Ricky Haywood-Williams revealing what he’d heard.
To start, Tom Cairney asked the question on everyone’s lips right now, “Who has the highest ceiling out of Garnacho, Hojlund and Mainoo?”
To this, Haywood-Williams explained: “People are saying that they reckon Garnacho is going to be.”
Cairney then asked: “What, like the next Cristiano?”
To which, Haywood-Williams concluded: Haywood-Williams added: “That’s what they have been saying, that’s what I’ve been hearing. We can’t predict these things but from the murmurings I’m hearing coming out of Old Trafford, they are saying that he has the potential to go to that level.”
Garnacho has everything needed to become world-class but he’s not there yet
A young Garnacho often bears a striking resemblance to a young Ronaldo making his name at Old Trafford.
Garnacho, like his Portuguese hero, has all the electric dribbling and ideas on the ball even though the final product is still slightly too raw to regularly rely on him in front of the goal.
That being said if Garnacho puts the work in as Ronaldo famously did, there’s no reason he can’t reach a similar level to what Ronaldo was at United.
He has everything needed to reach that level which he has the potential to do, now he just needs to work on fine-tuning his end product.
Then, he might just be unstoppable given how impactful he is even now while he hones his craft.
