Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag needs an inspired performance from his team on Monday night against Liverpool.
He will be looking at all his possible options to freshen up the team, and one option he should explore is bringing in wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho.
Unleash Alejandro Garnacho v Liverpool
Garnacho, 17, has the ability and characteristics to give Manchester United the lift the side desperately needs, and catch Liverpool cold.
First lets look at the other options. Marcus Rashford has been a disappointment in attack so far this season, while Anthony Elanga did not show anything in pre-season to give supporters confidence he can bring change for the better.
Garnacho is quite different. He played one pre-season game and was voted man of the match. He has a directness and energy to his play which the Old Trafford crowd will respond well to.
The teenager is a player who whenever he gets the ball, supporters are excited to see what he will do next. Ten Hag needs to use the crowd to United’s advantage on Monday night, and the buzz Garnacho generates can help the team out.

Garnacho won’t be overawed by playing at Old Trafford. He showed that in pre-season, and has stepped up on the big stage in the FA Youth Cup.
He scored seven goals in the competition at Old Trafford last season, including a bicycle kick, long solo goal, and a pressure filled penalty in the final with more than 50,000 fans in attendance. United don’t have to worry about whether he can handle the occasion.
Liverpool won’t be expecting Garnacho to start, and as such, he is Ten Hag’s secret weapon. A big performance from the Argentine will shake up his competitors too.
Garnacho has been training with the first team all summer long and has not dropped down to the under-21s for game time. This shows Ten Hag is considering him, at the least. Monday night would be a great moment to be bold and give the Argentine his first competitive start for the club.
