Manchester United’s post-season tour will begin against the ASEAN All Stars on Friday 28, May 2025.

Manchester United vs ASEAN All Stars will be played in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. The match will be held in the 84,000-capacity Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

From there, the Red Devils will travel to Hong Kong where they will face the Hong Kong national team in front of over 40,000 fans at the Hong Kong Stadium two days later.

How to watch

All of Manchester United’s post-season tour 2025 fixtures will be broadcast live on MUTV. Supporters can subscribe to MUTV through the club’s official website.

MUTV is also available through all major network providers, including Sky and Virgin Media, for an additional fee.

Ruben Amorim defends decision for post-season tour despite implications

The biggest issue with United’s post-season tour is that the last thing United players need is additional fixtures.

They battle through a demanding schedule every year for their clubs and country and now Ineos want to add two extra friendly fixtures to the calendar because it will generate more money for the football club.

United head coach Amorim defended the club’s decision to play games in Malaysia and Hong Kong immediately after the Premier League season finishes.

“Yes of course,” Amorim told reporters at a press conference. “The board talked to me about this situation.

“We have to look at the context of the club. We are raising our tickets [prices] for our fans.

“We are doing all this so we have also to make sacrifice – and [it] is a small sacrifice. It will be six days and we make contact with our fans around the world.

“They come here every weekend to see games at Old Trafford, so everybody in the club is making sacrifices.

“This is nothing compared to what people are doing to watch our games. We will do our small part.

“We are lucky to be here and we move forward because that tour will help us also to maybe improve the team if we need.”
