Aaron Wan-Bissaka has ranked highest in the entirety of Europe’s top leagues for a specific statistic this season, with a heavily rumoured summer target coming in second.
‘The Spider’ has had a terrific season in red. Not so long ago, he looked down and out as a United player. This season under Erik ten Hag he really found his feet again and has even been described as ‘probably the best in the world’ by one of his teammates.
Speaking of best in the world, the English full-back has topped the charts for a statistic in the entirety of Europe’s major leagues – which solidifies the fact that he’s certainly right up there.
The stat proves that Wan-Bissaka is one of the most feared players in the world for a dribbler to come up against.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is most effective-tackler in Europe
Stats site FBREF.com has shown that in terms of ‘dribblers tackled’, Wan Bissaka was top across the top five European leagues.
The right-back won 23 of his 25 attempts to prevent being dribbled past throughout the campaign. This puts him almost 6% above second, who is a player heavily rumoured to be making his way to Old Trafford in the summer.
TOP ‘DRIBBLERS-TACKLED’ STATS
1. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (UNITED): 23/25 = 92%
2. Kim Min-jae (Napoli): 25/29 = 86.2%
3. Daniel Vivian (Athletic Club): 36/45 = 80%
4. Eder Militao (Real Madrid): 26/33 = 78.8%
5. Sven Botman (Newcastle): 22/28 = 78.6%
Napoli’s Kim Min-jae places second, who could be joining the Red Devils for just £42m this summer.
This acquisition would mean United have the two most competent defenders in world football in stopping dribbling aces.
This is very useful in the Premier League with some of the top dribbles in world football in Mohamed Salah, Riyad Mahrez and Martin Odegaard all residing there.
Defence is usually the best form of attack, so we hope the United defence is as strong as physically possible heading into the 23/24 season.
