Manchester United have had a fairly tough start to the season, but following the defeat to Bayern Munich, the fixture list does look kinder to the Red Devils.

Manchester United have already played Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bayern last night. The next six fixtures could be huge for the club’s season and, surely, Erik ten Hag knows it.

Manchester United’s next six fixtures:

After a tough start, building up some momentum with consistent victories in the league could well be the key for the Red Devils and indeed Ten Hag who needs to regain some trust from the fans and the players again.

Crucial month ahead

The Red Devils need to string a few wins together otherwise the season will tread dangerously close to falling apart.

United need to keep in touch with the top four otherwise the Dutchman may well lose all the good faith he has garnered with the United fanbase if results continue to be inconsistent. The feelgood factor is just as important as picking up points.

Last season was one of progress. Right now it seems like the club has gone backwards, and United need to get back on track.

Injury issues easing

The positive for the Red Devils and indeed Ten Hag is that the injury issues that United have suffered from this season are beginning to ease slightly.

Mason Mount is surely not too far from a return to the first team and Sofyan Amrabat, you would hope, is not too far away from returning either.

Kobbie Mainoo, despite being just 18, is also back on the training pitch and the quality of the midfielder’s performances means he could well be a key option for Ten Hag.

These next six games and the return of key players will be huge for United and wins are needed to bring the feel-good factor back to Old Trafford.
